Pre-construction inspection:

The first step in our intervention is a thorough inspection to determine whether the cracks are active or passive. New construction may show cracks due to concrete shrinkage or early backfilling. If these cracks remain stable, a simple repair will suffice. However, if a crack is active, evolving and spreading, it’s imperative to act quickly to stop the phenomenon and prevent further damage.

Crack repair:

Depending on our diagnosis, cracks can be repaired from the inside or the outside. For superficial cracks, treatment from the inside via epoxy or urethane injection may be sufficient. However, if the crack is more extensive, due to a drainage or subsidence problem, an external repair is often more effective. In this case, checking the drainage system and waterproofing your foundation may be advisable to prevent recurrence. If pyrite is the cause, the contaminated parts will have to be removed and replaced to restore the structure on a long-term basis.

Masonry replacement:
